ACCEPTING AFFIDAVITS OF CANDIDACY FOR TRUSTEE POSITIONS
ALL LAKE DELHI RESIDENTS AND LAND OWNERS
On behalf of the Lake Delhi Combined Recreational Facility and Water Quality District Board of Trustees, the Delaware County Auditor’s Office is now accepting Affidavits of Candidacy for the following positions to be filled by election on Tuesday, July 16, 2024:
District Trustee (three (3) positions) 3 year terms
Any resident or property owner within the Lake Delhi Combined District interested in running for one of these positions must file a completed Affidavit of Candidacy with the Delaware County Auditor located within the Delaware County Courthouse at 301 E. Main St, Room 210, in Manchester, Iowa.
The deadline for filing an Affidavit of Candidacy is Friday, June 7, 2024 at 4:30 pm.

TRUSTEE ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
TUESDAY, JULY 16, 2024
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Trustee Election for the Lake Delhi Combined Recreational Facility and Water Quality District in Delaware County, Iowa will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Polls will be open from 12:00 PM (noon) until 8:00 PM. The polling location will be as follows:
St. John’s Parish Hall
303 South Street, Delhi
Pre-Election Day voter registration for this election closes on Tuesday, July 3, 2024. Eligible persons have the right to register to vote and cast a ballot on Election Day if they are able to provide proof of both their identity and residency at the polls. Please bring a valid and current photo ID which has an expiration date. If the address on your ID is not your current lake address, you will need to prove residency. The following documents can be used as proof of residency if they contain your name and current lake address, and are current within 45 days: Residential lease, utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check or other government document, or a property tax statement (current within 45 days of final payment date).
Pre-registered voters are now required to provide an approved form of identification at the polling place before receiving and casting a regular ballot. Voters who are not pre-registered (such as voters registering on Election Day, and voters changing precincts), must also provide proof of residence. Voters who are unable to provide an approved form of identification (or prove residency if required), may have their identities attested to by another registered voter in the precinct, or have the right to cast a provisional ballot. Attesters must also provide an approved form of identification. In-person absentee voting is available at the Delaware County Auditor’s Office thru 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.
The polling place designated for use in this election is accessible to persons with disabilities. However, any voter who is physically unable to enter a polling place has the right to vote in the voter’s vehicle. Pre-Election Day voter registration for this election will close Monday, July 3, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. It is highly recommended that those persons wishing to vote in this election should pre-register on or before the July 3rd deadline.
